"Blue Hill Garden is worth the trip from the Lake Norman area. My client, her mom, and I had the best time during our late summer portrait session among the flowers and in the hay field. Erika and her family are very welcoming and hospitable. They have created an oasis of beauty that brought us so much joy, and they took pride in showing us the various areas where we could photograph. Although the weather was hot and sticky, my clients and I agreed that we would gladly deal with the heat again to get those special portraits in the patch of zinnias and coreopsis. As the sun dipped lower in the sky, it glowed through the trees and backlit the tall grasses magically. We felt lucky to be there.
Erika made every part of the experience positive and smooth: the website was helpful, booking was easy, expectations and directions were spelled out clearly, and the garden itself was compact and quick to access from the parking area. We were encouraged to venture past the fence to the round hay bales as the sun was setting. I can't wait to visit again when the new poppy field is in bloom. What a sweet spot!
